SEO Services for Manufacturers in London
Engineering buyers do not search the way marketing teams assume. They search a part number, a material, a tolerance or an application, often with a drawing already open. Most of those searches never appear in a keyword tool, which is why manufacturing SEO built from a standard keyword export usually misses the point.

How your customers search
What search looks like in your sector
Buyers arrive mid-problem. They need a part that matches a specification, an alternative to something discontinued, or a supplier who can hold a tolerance at a given volume. The search is specific and the patience is short.
Then they verify. Certifications, capacity, lead times and whether you have made anything like this before. That checking happens on your site, and if the information is not there the RFQ goes to whoever published theirs.
Searches we would go after for you
- CNC machining London
- sheet metal fabrication UK
- subcontract machining [area]
- [part number] equivalent
Examples, not a finished list. The real one comes out of your site, your margins and what your competitors already hold.
The work
What we actually do
Every engagement starts with an audit, so this list gets reordered once we have seen your site. Nothing here is theoretical.
- 01
Specification and datasheet pages
Dimensions, tolerances, materials and compliance presented as structured HTML rather than as a PDF nobody can index.
- 02
Capability and capacity pages
Processes, machine list, volumes and lead times, which is what a procurement buyer is actually assessing.
- 03
Cross-reference content
Equivalents and alternatives for discontinued or competitor parts, which is high intent and usually uncontested.
- 04
Industry directory presence
Listings and consistent details across the supplier directories and public buying platforms your sector uses.
- 05
RFQ tracking
Measuring quote requests and their value rather than sessions, because a manufacturing sales cycle makes traffic meaningless.
Before you start
What the results page looks like today
The best page in this market publishes price bands, names six sub-sectors and runs a twelve-month phased plan. Worth noting as a cautionary tale: its visible prices and the prices in its own page code do not match, which is the sort of thing that erodes trust with a technical buyer. Beyond that benchmark, a surprising share of the results are recycled profile spam, which is an easy thing to beat.
We would rather tell you which positions are realistic now than sell you a target we both know is years away.

FAQs
Manufacturers SEO: common questions
If yours is not answered here, email us and we will reply properly.
Our buyers search part numbers. Will keyword research find those?
Standard tools usually will not, because the volumes are too small to register. We build that list from your own product data, your site search logs and the enquiries your sales team already receives. It is slower than running an export and it is where the RFQs come from.
How is manufacturing SEO different from other B2B SEO?
The content is technical and the buyer is verifying rather than browsing. Spec pages do the selling, not blog posts. That shifts most of the work towards structuring product data properly.
Will ranking upset our distributors?
It can, and it is worth deciding deliberately. Some manufacturers rank for technical content and hand enquiries to distributors. Others compete directly. We will map out both before you commit rather than discovering the tension later.
How long until we see RFQs?
Four to eight months for meaningful movement, longer for competitive capabilities. With a three to nine month sales cycle on top, judge the first year on enquiry quality rather than revenue.
Do you handle technical content or just blogs?
Technical content is the job here. Spec pages, tolerance tables, certification documentation and application notes. Blogs matter far less in this sector than people expect.
