SEO Services for Private Doctors in London

For a private doctor, search is mostly about two things: owning your own name, and reaching the self-pay patient who has no referral and is choosing a consultant from scratch.

How your customers search

What search looks like in your sector

The first search is your name, usually after a recommendation. The patient is checking you are real and well regarded. If a hospital profile or a directory answers that better than your own site, the enquiry goes through them.

The second is the self-pay search: a specialism and an area, same day appointments, a specific test or procedure. No referral, no loyalty, deciding in minutes.

Content follows GMC expectations within Good Medical Practice: factual, verifiable, no guaranteed outcomes and no inducements. Nothing clinical publishes without your approval.

Searches we would go after for you

  • private GP London
  • same day GP appointment London
  • [specialism] consultant London
  • private blood tests London

Examples, not a finished list. The real one comes out of your site, your margins and what your competitors already hold.

The work

What we actually do

Every engagement starts with an audit, so this list gets reordered once we have seen your site. Nothing here is theoretical.

  1. 01

    Name search ownership

Making your site the first result for your name, with directory and hospital profiles pointing to it rather than replacing it.

  2. 02

    Self-pay service pages

Pages for the procedures and appointment types you want more of, priced and explained.

  3. 03

    Credential markup

Structured data covering registration, qualifications and affiliations so search engines can read your standing.

  4. 04

    Practice location work

Business Profile for each consulting address, with consistent details across the directories you appear in.

  5. 05

    Appointment tracking

Seeing which searches produce booked appointments rather than just enquiries.

Before you start

What the results page looks like today

Less contested than dentistry. The strongest competitor page we found publishes three price tiers and a named London case study but has no FAQ section at all. Self-pay patient acquisition is the angle nobody has really taken.

We would rather tell you which positions are realistic now than sell you a target we both know is years away.

FAQs

Private Doctors SEO: common questions

If yours is not answered here, email us and we will reply properly.

Can I advertise my private practice at all?

Yes. The requirement is that information is factual and verifiable, does not guarantee outcomes and does not exploit a patient's lack of medical knowledge. Plenty of practices advertise well within those limits.

Can I use patient testimonials and Google reviews?

Reviews patients leave themselves are fine and valuable. Using testimonials in your own marketing needs more care, particularly around consent and anything that reads as a guarantee. We will flag anything that looks risky.

Should I rank my practice brand or my own name?

Both, for different reasons. Your name catches referrals and due diligence. The practice brand catches people with no referral at all. Most consultants need the name first.

How do I compete with the big hospital groups?

Not on general specialism terms. On your name, your specific procedures and your consulting locations, you can beat them, because those searches are narrower than their pages are built for.

How much of my time will this take?

A couple of hours in total for most consultants. We interview you once, draft everything, and you review for accuracy.
