SEO Services for Educational Institutes in London
Large education sites tend to have the opposite problem to small ones. There is plenty of content, and that is the issue: faculty pages, course pages and marketing pages competing for the same searches while an aggregator quietly outranks all of them.

How your customers search
What search looks like in your sector
Prospective students search the subject and the level, not your institution: a course and a city, part-time study, an apprenticeship. Aggregators and comparison sites sit on exactly those terms.
Then there is Clearing, which runs from early July through results day in August and into September. It is the sharpest demand spike in UK education search and it is entirely predictable.
Searches we would go after for you
- [subject] courses London
- part-time [subject] degree
- apprenticeships [area] London
- [subject] clearing [year]
Examples, not a finished list. The real one comes out of your site, your margins and what your competitors already hold.
The work
What we actually do
Every engagement starts with an audit, so this list gets reordered once we have seen your site. Nothing here is theoretical.
- 01
Course page architecture
Fixing which page owns which search, so your pages stop competing and start ranking.
- 02
Clearing readiness
Pages built and indexed before July, with the structure to update fast on results day.
- 03
Aggregator strategy
Working out where to outrank comparison sites and where to work with them instead.
- 04
Large-site technical work
Crawl budget, legacy platform limits, redirects and accessibility, which on sites this size is where most of the gain sits.
- 05
Procurement-ready documentation
Specifications and reporting that fit tender and framework requirements, since many institutions have to buy this way.
Before you start
What the results page looks like today
This is a more developed market than schools, with agencies running long sector pages, detailed FAQs and published case studies. The recurring themes are course pages losing to aggregators, internal pages competing with each other, and legacy platforms. Procurement is addressed by almost nobody, despite education tenders being published publicly.
We would rather tell you which positions are realistic now than sell you a target we both know is years away.

FAQs
Educational Institutes SEO: common questions
If yours is not answered here, email us and we will reply properly.
Why does an aggregator outrank our own course page?
Usually because their page is better structured for that exact search and ours is one of three pages competing internally. It is fixable, and fixing it is cheaper than writing more content.
When should Clearing work start?
Pages should be live and indexed by June at the latest. Clearing opens in early July and peaks on results day in August. Publishing in July means starting from zero at the busiest moment of the year.
Can you work within our procurement process?
Yes. We can provide specifications, pricing and reporting in the format a tender or framework requires. Tell us the process early and we will fit it.
How do you handle our approval cycles?
We batch recommendations, document the reasoning for each, and sequence the work so items needing least sign-off ship first. Nobody is waiting on a committee to change a title tag.
Does this apply to training providers and tutoring businesses?
Yes, though the strategy is different: commercial, local and competing with marketplaces rather than with UCAS. Tell us which you are and we will scope it properly.
