SEO Services for Chemical Companies in London
Chemical buyers search in a language most marketing teams have never heard. A CAS number, a synonym, a grade, a concentration, sometimes a British spelling and sometimes an American one. If your site cannot answer those, the order goes to a marketplace that can.

How your customers search
What search looks like in your sector
The buyer is usually under time pressure and knows exactly what they need. They search the substance, often by CAS number or a synonym rather than your product name, and they expect your site search to cope with hyphens, spelling variants and trade names.
Before buying they look for documentation: safety data, certificates of analysis, regulatory status in their market. Missing documents end the visit regardless of how well the page ranks.
Regulatory and hazard information comes from your QHSE team and from official sources such as ECHA and the HSE. We do not publish regulatory specifics from secondary summaries.
Searches we would go after for you
- [chemical name] supplier UK
- [CAS number] supplier
- water treatment chemicals UK
- REACH registered [substance] supplier
Examples, not a finished list. The real one comes out of your site, your margins and what your competitors already hold.
The work
What we actually do
Every engagement starts with an audit, so this list gets reordered once we have seen your site. Nothing here is theoretical.
- 01
Substance pages built for real search
CAS number, synonyms, grade and concentration handled properly, including on your internal site search.
- 02
Documentation structure
Safety data and certificates organised so they help buyers and rank, without flooding the index with duplicates.
- 03
Application and sector content
Pages by application and functional class, which is how formulators look for a material they have not bought before.
- 04
Marketplace strategy
Deciding where to compete with the CAS-indexed directories and where to be listed on them instead.
- 05
Technical content support
Working with your QHSE and technical teams so published claims match your documentation.
Before you start
What the results page looks like today
We could not find a single dedicated UK agency page for chemical SEO. That cuts both ways. Competition is almost nil, but it also means demand for the phrase itself is probably small, so this page is built to catch the related searches as well. The practical competition for your customers is the CAS-indexed marketplaces and supplier directories.
We would rather tell you which positions are realistic now than sell you a target we both know is years away.

FAQs
Chemical Companies SEO: common questions
If yours is not answered here, email us and we will reply properly.
Can we rank for CAS numbers?
Yes, and it is one of the few genuinely uncontested opportunities left in technical search. It requires product pages that carry the CAS number, the synonyms and the grade as readable content rather than inside a PDF.
Should our safety data sheets be public?
Generally yes for findability, but how they are structured matters more than whether they exist. Thousands of near-identical PDFs can crowd out the pages you want ranking. We would plan the library rather than upload it.
How do you handle regulatory content?
We do not write it from secondary sources. Your QHSE team provides the regulatory position and we structure it. While researching this market we found a lot of unreliable material about chemical regulation, which is exactly why we take it from you and from the official bodies.
Will we compete with our own distributors?
Possibly, and it should be a decision rather than an accident. Some producers rank technical content and pass enquiries to distributors. We will map that before building anything.
How do we measure this when a sample request takes a year to become revenue?
By tracking sample and quote requests as the primary conversion and following them through your CRM. Judging a six to twelve month specification cycle on monthly traffic will tell you nothing useful.
